Construction Conflict & Dispute Resolution
Join the CSC Winnipeg Chapter at the WCA with presenter Daryl A. Chicoine of MLT Aikins as we dive into Construction Conflict and the Dispute Resolution Process adopted by CCDC Contracts. The CCDC sets out specific methods for settling disputes incorporating the concepts of negotiation, mediation, and arbitration to encourage speedy, inexpensive, and voluntary resolutions of construction disputes.
With Construction Conflicts becoming all too frequent, be prepared with an understanding of how to navigate the process in an effort to attain a fair resolution.
Presenter Bio: Daryl has a civil, commercial and construction litigation practice. His construction litigation experience includes builders’ lien legislation, construction projects, and has acted for owners, general contractors, and sub-contractors.
Daryl has appeared before various tribunals and all levels of court including the Manitoba King’s Bench, Manitoba Court of Appeal, Ontario Supreme Court of Justice, Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
